Mobile phone penetration in the US: 18-24 years old: 85%; 25-44 years old: 82%; 45-54 years old: 80%; 55-64 years old: 79% (eMarketer)

SMS is the most popular mobile data application, with 65% of cell phone users sending text messages every day (IDC Group, March 2006)
